Assessment

The assessment standards at EFL are benchmarked towards international standards. It does not only cover one assessment standards as per other centres in Asia. We have designed a unique syllabus of EFL (English as First Language) standards. The only language centre to do so in Asia that prepares students for SIX international Assessment standards.

We believe in training students with EFL (English as First Language) standards so that the students are trained to do any exams from countries where English is a first language (UK, USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Singapore). The basic foundation of the holistic 4 skills curriculum designed by EFL provides the basic foundation for our students to take any international assessment without much preparation except for assessment format. Our internal assessment system is also validated by the Academy English Language Teachers and The Tesol Training Centre Singapore; both are involved in English Teachers’ Training in the region.

General Assessment for students

EFL assessment for students ranges from the age of 7 to 16. The assessment is broken into different levels ranging from Level 1 to 10, where level 10 is equivalent to GCE’O’ levels or IELTS band 6.0. The assessment covers all 4 skills assessment and it offers students English as First Language assessment standard so that students can better gauge the standard of their language proficiency.

General Assessment for Working Adults

EFL assessment for adults are meant for working adults who seek to improve on their English communication and written skills in their workplace. The assessment is broken into different levels ranging from Level 1 to 6, where level 6 is equivalent to Advance level of communication and written competency. The assessment covers all 4 skills assessment and it offers students English as First Language assessment standard so that working adults can better gauge the standard of their language proficiency.
